Irrespective of the water restriction, would you not wash your car for the entire period? Would you really allow your beautiful flowers and herbs to die? Whether or not you are facing a spiritual restriction of God’s words, do not allow yourself to die. Christians in the middle ages didn’t. They ‘ate’ the word of God at every opportunity they got. In-spite-of the restriction of their time, God’s words was more precious than physical food. Let’s not wait for such a restriction to affect us. But let us begin now to feed our souls that we may grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We can heal our world by beginning with just me. Yes. Begin with yourself. If we strive to be kind to at least two persons and those two extend the kindness to another two, with the trend continuing, then we would reach our entire world. When we all participate, our world would be a kinder and happier place. You would be happier and being kind would be second nature.

I wonder how many of us have lost patience, having given up because we have prayed and waited so long for a breakthrough, for an answer to prayer, for our ‘waters to be troubled’ so that we can be first, but still nothing’s happening. Whatever you are going through, whatever it is that you have been praying about, don’t give up. Your blessing maybe just around the corner. You may be looking for your blessing to be in the ‘pool’ but God may be waiting to bless you on the ‘porch’. You may be expecting your ‘water’ circumstances to change, with help from others, but God may have earmarked your blessing in a different form. Do not limit God.

Being obedient and keeping God’s law isn’t a prerequisite for salvation. Only God’s grace can cleanse us from our sins. Nevertheless, obedience to God’s law is still required to show our love response to Him. We should be very careful that we do not equate our efforts at being obedient as God’s righteousness. It isn’t. We are saved only through faith in God’s gift of grace. And it is through faith with the help of the Holy Spirit that we will be able to remain obedient to God’s righteous requirements.

Jesus asked Him and He confirmed that He will keep you from falling. The prayers of our loved ones really do help; but with Jesus’ prayer for us, none can compare. We are guaranteed divine help because Jesus prayed. I am so happy He prayed for me and you. Let’s show Him that we are willing to be kept.

So, let’s do an unusual treasure hunt for a change. We will be hunting for souls. The experience is beyond comparison and will ‘blow your mind’. It promises satisfaction you’ve never known. The entire family can participate. How many stars will you place in your crown today? Your own soul should be your first star! Do what you can, and better your best effort. Let’s reach these true treasures for Christ.

We introduce ourselves with our names and sometimes occupational titles, and that’s okay. But what about your professed identity? Are you worried what persons might think? Accolades are okay; that’s your hard work. But being labeled a child of the King, a Christian, a candidate of Heaven carries more weight. From the outset, declare your hand. Do not hide behind political rightness.

How have you been asked to defend your faith and belief in Jesus Christ? Was it through your job, your studies or relinquishing your faith? How did you respond? If you stood firm or not, how did it make you feel? Some pressures will seem really hard to bear; but remember that Jesus’ encouragement is not to stumble. Let them do what they will; but no matter what, we are to stand for God.
