The King came in before the actual wedding to see if all was ready for the ceremony to begin. That’s when he saw the man unfittingly dressed. This is a royal wedding and all under the King’s control must be in order. What’s with this wedding garment – why was it so important?

I need not envy the twelve Disciples who were constantly with Him then. I know that someday soon, in the near future, I will walk and talk with Him in person. I am content to praying to my God that I can only see by faith. I am satisfied to listen to Him through His words, nature and His Holy Spirit. One day soon, this will all change. I will see Him face to face and know even as I am known.

There is never a dull moment on our planet. Always, something is happening somewhere. Even though we sometimes eliminate the bad ‘egg’ in an effort to restore peace; another, and still yet another is always hatching somewhere. Our world is filled with hatred and wars everywhere; and this dated back to the origin of sin. As long as sin is around, we will not be free from the plague of wars and destruction.

But it’s different with God. Whether or not you love God, He loves you and will always love you. He loves you just the way you are. And He is longingly waiting on you to turn to Him for all your love needs. Have you been crushed by an earthly love? He feels your pain and will dry your tears. His arms are open wide to embrace you. You can cry on His shoulders. He will wipe your tears away and get you smiling again. After so many have failed you, why not give Him a chance to love you the way you deserved to be loved? His is a triple L – a long and lasting love.

Spiritual sight is the Holy Spirit’s conviction to our conscience, helping us to recognize our state of sinfulness. I love to call that process the eyes of conscience. You see, irrespective of how morally good many of us are, in the eyes of God, our righteousness is really just filthy rags. By our good works, we are unable to measure up to God’s standard of righteousness. Therefore, we need the eyes of conscience to see our real status.

In the last days, the enemy of souls will be allowed to perform similar miracles of causing fire to come down from Heaven. Not only that, there will be sightings of Christ in different parts of our world. All these are designed to deceive. Many will not see the signs of deception posted along the way. I can just imagine many solidly booked flights bound for those destinations!

Perhaps you have strayed from the security with which you were brought up, and you’ll like to return home. The good Shepherd is searching for you. He is your Shepherd of love. He will not chide you over your waywardness, but instead, with open arms will put His robe on you and give you a welcoming embrace. You can come on home. He’s working His way toward you. He wants you home again.

You can claim God’s forgiveness and rise up and walk. Rise up and walk away from guilt and shame, from the enemy’s constant reminder of what you did. Yes, in faith, reach out to Jesus. Your sins are forgiven. It’s time you get past your past, and rise up and walk. Do not let guilt and shame hold you captive any longer. Close out the critical eyes and lips of the Pharisees and teachers of the law around you and focus only on Jesus’ pardoning grace. Then, in faith, rise up and walk.
