What message does this have for the church today? What was Jesus trying to convey about salvation? Jesus healed mental illnesses, diseases, blood issues, leprosy, and all forms of health issues. He even had power to heal the greatest cancer of all--Death! What does scripture mean by its statement that Jesus is "Resurrection and Life"? What does all this have to do with our lives today?

He had been so steeped in sin; well, that’s what he thought of himself and his friends concur. He could never change. The worldly lifestyle was his thrill and giving it up was unimaginable. The girls, the drinks, parties and more; that was his life. After all, he was young and it was his life to live. But God had other plans! God choose a new direction for his life-a direction that led to a total change of both the inner and outer man.

Did You Remember

As you face your daily challenges, did you remember to pray? Even if no one remembered your prayer request, you need to spend time in ‘closet’ interceding with God so that you can get ‘closet power’. God is ready and listening and He will also answer while you are still speaking. Before you leave your home today, did you remember to pray? Your Father is waiting.

Distractions

Jesus said to his disciples, “Why were you afraid?” And to us His question is the same. When we take our eyes off Jesus and put in on the problems around us, we will loose our peace and our souls! The devil knows that if he can get us distracted from our real mission, even when we become over zealous about good things, he was in the winning seat. Let us put away all distractions that rob our time with God, that take our peace.
