Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. (2 Tim 2:1)

It is comforting to know that you are not alone in your struggles, whatever they may be. It is so strengthening to know that someone is agonizing with God on your behalf. Someone, somewhere, is dialing Heaven’s emergency number on your behalf. Someone is praying for you.

In the moment of His agony, when He needed so badly to touch Heaven, Jesus took some of His closest disciples to watch and pray with Him. He really needed their support. Can you imagine His disappointment when He found them sleeping? That’s the worst thing that can happen to anyone – when you are depending on someone to be there for you, to help you bear your burden, to remain at knee city with you; instead they choose to be on side/back city instead. But He was not alone. God sent angels to strengthen Him. Praise God.

As the dark clouds around me gather, God has been sending His angels to strengthen me, especially when it seems I’m all alone and my heart would break in two. He has provided strength and my spirit is buoyed as I press on. I know many friends have been praying for me – some had made it know. Some called and encouraged me. For others, I am in their prayers every morning. My friend Pat wrote me a touching note and prayer to let me know that she has been praying for me. It is so reassuring to know that I have friends who prayed. Your kindness, in one form or the other, is truly appreciated. I must keep on hoping for a breakthrough. The Lord has already spoken, “peace be still” and I know help is already on the way! Even though my ship has been tossed and battered, I will not loose hope. Someone is praying for me.

You too may be facing your storms. You are not alone. Remember someone is praying for you. Help is already on the way. So, hold on! Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Just as God sent help for His Son in the hour of need, your help is coming. Take courage. You are not alone.

Dear God, my Father and King, thank you for sufferings. Thank you for being with me, for sending help in one form or the other to strengthen me. Please continue to send help to all your children and give us the confidence to know that we are not alone, that you are with us always. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
