Jesus taught that it’s a blessing to have pure hearts. Those with pure hearts will see God. Realizing these truths, we must do all, with God’s help, to have a pure heart. We must guard carefully the avenues of our soul – especially our eyes and ears – so as not to feed our hearts with evil thoughts and company. Only allow in what is good and noble and just. And yes, ask God’s help to keep your heart pure. Let us be pure, because others care.

Much speculation has been perpetuated over the years on this subject. The most popular answer, and subsequently the most represented in film, mythology, and stories, has been that the sons of God were angels that began to mate with and take wives of the female descendants of Adam. This idea has led to stories being written about mythological creatures resulting from these unions called Nephilim which are supposed to be some kind of half human-half angel hybrid. The second view is that the “sons of God” refer to the bloodline of Seth while the “daughters of man” reference the bloodline of Cain. This view is more consistent with scripture. Several pieces of evidence combine to support this convincing claim.

True sincere and genuine love isn’t just felt but is seen. The mark of a true Christian is their love in action. The love shared among themselves and with others. In a world filled with pretenders, we are bombarded with ‘plastic’ smiles and persons whose words do not match their actions. True feelings are faked, even in some marriages, as intentions are disguised under feigned appearances. In a world where this is the norm, as Christians, we are called to be different, to be genuine and sincere in our intentions and actions.
