Season 02 Episode 10 of Gems of Truth. How do you feel about forgiveness? Has it been an easy or difficult concept to accept? In a world where human beings often wish that others would get what they deserve, God sent Jesus to "stand in the gap" for us. How can we stand in the gap for others? Why does God require us to do such a thing? Can forgiveness be practical? Can broken relationships be mended? This episode explores the parable of the unforgiving servant.
What if everything you knew was a lie? What if you have lived your whole life seeing, but never really seeing or hearing, but understanding nothing? What if all the answers have been within your reach, but you were never able grasp them? What if you’ve lived almost your whole life, with a blind fold on? Would this news surprise you? What if I told you that there’s a way to take the blind fold off? Would you want to get rid of it? Or would you rather leave it on?

What does Christ do on our behalf as High Priest in the heavenly sanctuary? Can only Levites be priests? What can we learn from the sanctuary system about our salvation? What is the difference between what was accomplished on the cross and what is done for us in heaven? Why is Jesus often referred to as a lamb? What does the sacrifice of Jesus reveal about the character of God?
The Bible teaches about a day lost in history. A day God designed for us to remember. This week's lesson uncovers the mystery of this forgotten and lost day.
I can brighten the corner where I stand. I can be like a pebble dropped in the water. The combined action of all God’s children, in brightening their corners or be like pebbles dropped in water, will attract the lost and dying to the Christ we love. The ripple effect will spread wide and far.
What is it like in your church? Have they become a ‘den of thieves’ or is it still a ‘house of prayer’? Like Jesus, we all can make a difference. We can do our part to keep God’s temple a house of prayer for all people. May God help us to stand for the right, though the heavens falls. It’s time we turn the emphasis back on God because His house is a house of prayer for all people.
I wonder how many of us have lost patience, having given up because we have prayed and waited so long for a breakthrough, for an answer to prayer, for our ‘waters to be troubled’ so that we can be first, but still nothing’s happening. Whatever you are going through, whatever it is that you have been praying about, don’t give up. Your blessing maybe just around the corner. You may be looking for your blessing to be in the ‘pool’ but God may be waiting to bless you on the ‘porch’. You may be expecting your ‘water’ circumstances to change, with help from others, but God may have earmarked your blessing in a different form. Do not limit God.
